Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNPs)
Applicants for Canadian work visas under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) enjoy a speedy visa application process. Intending immigrants under PNP should have the necessary skills, proper education, sufficient work experience, and a passing language examination result for semi or low-skilled trades or professions.
Each Canadian province and territory (except Nunavut and Quebec) has its own unique Provincial Nominee Program. Each PNP has at least one immigration stream that is aligned with the federal Express Entry immigration selection system.
Provincial nominations issued under these Express Entry-aligned streams are known as 'enhanced nominations' and award Express Entry candidates an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points.

Each province and territory determines their own eligibility criteria for Provincial Nominee Programs. In order to become a provincial nominee, applicants must show that they meet the set criteria. This will show that the applicant has the skills, education, and work experience to be able to make a positive contribution to the local economy and society. The province or territory will consider the application based on the needs of the specific province.

There are several steps that you can take to start the process for applying for a PNP no matter whichever Province you are applying for.

Apply to the federal government for Canadian permanent resident status. If you were nominated through an Express Entry-aligned PNP, you can apply through Express Entry. Otherwise, you must submit a paper-based application.

After you have been nominated by a province or territory, you have to make a separate Application to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) for Permanent Residence. A CIC officer will then assess your Application based on Canadian Immigration regulations.
You will have to pass a medical examination and security and criminal checks. You must also show that you have enough money to support yourself and your dependents after you arrive in Canada.
